Name: Astoria Elizabeth Marie Greengrass

Date/place of birth: London - February 23, 1981
Physical features: Astoria has always been relatively small for her age. At Hogwarts she often found herself being dwarfed by some of the other students in her year. Like her mother, she would never have an overly large frame or be overly tall. While it did make some thing more difficult, she didn't particularly mind her small frame. She certainly did not need to be five feet nine inches tall in order to accomplish her goals. For the most part, it did aid her when she needed to disappear from sight.

From a small accident when she was younger, she has three silver marks along her right side. Many women complain about the appearance of scars and marks on their skin, but she doesn't mind hers. They remind her of her attempts to find her own place in the world. She had escaped her nanny and had ventured outside on her own. In regards to her scares she wouldn't trade them but she's currently not too interested in allowing other people to see them either.

The rest of her appearance is kept at it's best. Despite the belief, by many individuals her age, that all Potions Masters look like Snape, she fully intends to continue to gain what she wants. She's been used to fine clothes and will continue to provide herslef with the same amount. Many people often tell her that she hasn't changed a lot during her time at Hogwarts, but she would like to think she has. Naturally, there has been an increase in maturity and in the way she carries herself, but she still has the soft blonde hair, the pale complexion, and the stunning blue eyes.

Occupation:Pursuing a career in Potions. She’s intent on continuing her training until she can reach the Mastery level. She is currently just beginning her tutelage under a Potions Mistress located in London.
Hobbies: Potions, reading, drawing. If she's not doing one of these three things, she can usually be found A) at her flat, B) at Daphne's flat, or B) at the Apothecary.

Children - have any? want any?: No, she doesn't have any children. In the future she would like to have at least one, but she certainly isn't in any hurry to achieve that.

How the war affected them: During the war, Astoria, being the youngest child in the Greengrass household did not participate to the extent that her sister had. As things at Hogwarts worsened she was only entering her fifth year at Hogwarts. Unlike her sister, Astoria was relatively protected from the obligations that had befallen other pureblood children. Despite this small attempt by her father, she certainly wasn’t unscathed. In a situation like that very few escape without some sort of consequence. She’d seen him come home injured and she’d most certainly heard the things other individuals, particularly those who did not hold the same views of pureblood supremacy, had to say. As the war erupted around her she found herself conflicted. She’d grown up hearing that blood purity meant everything. Having to see and hear the reaction of some to this view made her doubt her own beliefs, leaving a haunted and somewhat cautious nature behind. With the news of Voldemort’s defeat, she fully realized what this would mean for those of them who held blood purity as important. In the new society that’s building around her, she lives hiding a part of herself for fear of being prosecuted because of it. Perhaps in the future the separation between Muggle and Wizard will be up to the level she hopes for, but until then she will continue to keep her opinions to herself and continue to survive.
